Elsie McGinnis, of
Bridgeville, was referred to KSI by the Division of Developmental
Disabilities Services in 2001. Always ready to share a
friendly greeting and a smile, Elsie is also always ready to work.
Most of the jobs Elsie
in comfortable working on enable her to sit while completing the
job. She is collating a packet of brochures and other forms
into a folder for one of our customers in this picture.
One of Elsie's
goals is to become a machine operator. She has been
challenging herself to reach this goal. Elsie has made a
concentrated effort to stand more frequently during some of her jobs
so that she can build up the stamina required to operate the
machinery she's interested in mastering.
Talking with and
visiting her brothers is something else Elsie looks forward to.
She recently flew to Kansas City to visit one of her brothers.
Elsie takes great
care with her personal appearance and likes to wear nail polish,
lipstick, makeup and jewelry. She likes children and loves to
go shopping. Her craft projects keep her busy at home. |
