Kristy Cosgrove, of
Harrington, was referred to KSI in 1998 by the Division of
Developmental Disabilities Services. An outspoken and
opinionated individual, Kristy is very vocal about her likes and
dislikes.
Not
one to embrace the morning rush, Kristy is slow moving first thing
in the morning. She looks forward to the weekends so she can
sleep in, but she is always awake, dressed, and ready for the KSI
van which picks her up from home Monday through Friday around
7:30am.
Kristy, who has
quite a sense of humor, works on several different contracts in
KSI's Facility-Based Work Services Program. Here, she is shown
working on the production line shrink-wrapping pickles for Pinnacle
Foods. Kristy enjoys her work as she anticipates her paycheck
every other Friday. She plans in advance for payday Fridays so
she can wear pants with pockets, allowing her to more easily hold on
to her check.
She may not be fast
moving, but Kristy is certainly active. She likes going to the
slots in Harrington where she enjoys the sounds and excitement of
the machines. She also likes going out to eat, shopping and
dressing up to go to church. |
