Nick Pennucci, of
Seaford, was referred to KSI in 1978 by the Division of
Developmental Disabilities Services. Versatility has served Nick
well during his 30-year tenure at KSI. He has had many employment
opportunities.
Described as soft
spoken, neat and orderly, Nick is also very quality conscious. He is
an early riser, ensuring he is awake and ready for the KSI van to
pick him up for work. Nick says that labeling boxes is one of his
favorite jobs, but he is willing to help where needed. In this
picture, he is packing cardboard bases into shipping boxes for
Color-Box Harrington. In addition to the numerous facility-based
jobs Nick has worked, he has also worked on work crews at Peninsula
Nurseries, Maryland Plastics, and the Sussex Company.
Gretchen Wilson,
Shania Twain, and Jo Dee Messina are among Nick’s favorite country
music singers. Nick is also a Lionel train enthusiast, collecting
the O gauge. He enjoys keeping his trains in working order. Nick is
usually the cook in the house, and he makes a famous baked chicken
dinner.
Nick is glad to have
employment through KSI. His paycheck enables him to pursue some of
his recreational interests. |
