Charise Little, of
Magnolia, completed her education at the John S. Charlton School in
Camden and, in August of 2004, was referred to KSI by the Division
of Developmental Disabilities Services.
Entering a new work
environment for the first time can be an intimidating experience for
anyone, and as could be expected, Charise was initially very shy and
tentative coming to KSI. With her gentle demeanor, charm and warm
smile, it didn’t take long for Charise to make friends and begin
tackling new jobs.
Working in KSI’s
facility-based employment program, Charise has worked on jobs that
require label placement, including bulk mail-out jobs like the KSI
calendar. She has also worked on the shrink wrapping production
line, and assembly jobs, of which her favorite is the Fastenal
assemblies. Charise happily tries new jobs when the opportunities
arise. She has also been recognized on several occasions for having
monthly perfect attendance.
Full of energy and
enthusiasm that nearly bubbles over, Charise likes music and
dancing. She is close to her family and likes to go shopping with
her mother for food and clothes. |
