Suzanne Michelle
Gomes, of Dover, was referred to KSI by the Division of
Developmental Disabilities Services in March of 2000. Michelle, as
she prefers to be called, loves music and dancing.
Not only is Michelle
quite rhythmic, but she is also a good worker. She takes extra time
to do her best, and willingly tries new jobs.
In the time that
Michelle has worked at KSI she has had work experiences through
KSI’s facility-based employment program as well as through KSI’s
community-based employment program.
She currently works on
a community-based work crew at Playtex Products in Dover. Michelle
is responsible for opening special bonus packages. She then
separates and sorts the packaged items. This job is a great match
for Michelle.
She likes helping
people. When visiting family in Texas, Michelle helps to brush the
horses, feed the chickens, and gather eggs. She also likes attending
musical shows and concerts.
She looks forward to
the KSI picnic and Christmas party so she can see her friends,
listen to music, and dance. |
