Kraft Foods, Playtex Products, and Procter & Gamble Dover Wipes
Company Are Recognized For Supporting KSI’s Industrial Work Crew
Program
Kent-Sussex Industries, Inc. (KSI) recently presented Industrial Work
Crew Program Appreciation Awards to Kraft Foods Global, Inc., Playtex
Products, Inc., and Procter & Gamble Dover Wipes Company.
KSI, a
vocational rehabilitation organization, provides employment
opportunities to individuals with disabilities. Kraft Foods, Playtex
Products, and Procter & Gamble, each provide community based employment
through KSI’s Industrial Work Crew Program. This program is a
successful match for businesses who want to have a particular job
completed at their own location. A work crew consists of a KSI
supervisor, and a group of program participants who work on location at
the host company. KSI has had a work crew at Procter & Gamble since the
1970's and currently employs over 40 individuals there. Kraft Foods has
had a work crew on site since October 2005. There are currently 6
individuals on this work crew. Playtex Products is the newest community
based work crew which started in September 2006 and provides employment to
nearly 40 individuals.
