Marion DiRubbio
Receives Direct Support Professionals Award
Marion DiRubbio, of Harrington, recently received the Direct Support
Professionals Award at the Second Annual Conference for Direct Support
Professionals.
A
Direct Support Professional is defined as one whose primary job
responsibility is to provide support, training, supervision, and
personal assistance to people with disabilities where at least 50% of
their hours are spent in direct support tasks. Ms. DiRubbio is employed
by Kent-Sussex Industries, Inc. (KSI), a not for profit agency,
providing vocational training and employment services to individuals
with disabilities throughout Kent and Sussex Counties.
Ms.
DiRubbio is KSI’s Health & Safety Coordinator, and a facility based
Program Manager. She is tireless in her efforts to make sure the
individuals KSI serves have the best care possible. Her attention to
detail makes her very aware of the specific needs of each individual.
She coordinates with other KSI staff to address each person’s specific
needs.
