KSI Presents Thomas Spiezio with KSI Champion Award

     Kent-Sussex Industries, Inc. (KSI) presented Thomas Spiezio, of Millsboro, with its prestigious KSI Champion Award during KSI’s 46^th Annual Awards Dinner at the Sheraton Dover Hotel.

       The KSI Champion Award recognizes an individual who fully believes in the mission of KSI and the ABILITIES of people with disabilities. The KSI Champion aggressively looks for opportunities within their organization for contracts and work opportunities for KSI. They willingly and enthusiastically share their KSI experiences with others in hopes of creating additional employment opportunities for people with disabilities. The Champion’s efforts have had a significant impact on the lives of others.

       Thomas Spiezio, Senior Manufacturing Manager of the FemCare Operation for Energizer Personal Care, according to Craig Crouch, KSI CEO, “was instrumental in developing the win-win relationship” between KSI and Energizer, when it was still Playtex Products and KSI was processing Banana Boat Suncare Returns in the Dover plant. Tom was the Project Manager for the Banana Boat Suncare Returns Operation and worked diligently to develop a successful operation while supporting KSI’s mission to employ people with disabilities. He saw how the KSI-Playtex partnership benefitted his company, while also providing employment to the individuals being served by KSI.

       Mr. Spiezio was presented a plaque from KSI, a State of Delaware Senate Tribute, sponsored by Senator Gary Simpson, and a State of Delaware House of Representatives Tribute, co-sponsored by Representatives Bob Walls and George Carey.  More than 200 guests attended KSI’s Annual Awards Dinner.
