KSI’s Aktion Club Gives Time and Money

Members of KSI’s
newly formed service organization, the Aktion Club, sponsored by the
Dover Kiwanis Club, volunteered to ring the bells for the Salvation Army
this holiday season. The Club spent four hours at Wal-mart helping to
raise money for families in need. Pictured here are Tammy Bellemare,
Aktion Club Vice President, Ted Demusz, President, and Stacy Lukens,
Treasurer.

KSI’s Aktion Club recently donated $100
to the Kent County SPCA. Mary Ann D’Amato, Community Outreach
Coordinator for the SPCA accepts a check from Ted Demusz, Aktion Club
President. Other members of the Club who toured the SPCA following the
donation presentation are: (seated) Penny West and Lisa Garrison.
Standing left to right are: Beth Lush, Esther Fisher, Mary Ann D’Amato,
Ted Demusz, Julia Secrest, Leroy Hicks, and Tammy Bellemare. These, and
other members of the Aktion Club raised money to help the SPCA by
collecting can tabs and organizing a penny drive. Newspapers are also
being saved so they can be donated to the SPCA on a regular basis. The
Kent County SPCA will be recipient of future Aktion Club donations, as
this is the Club’s major community service project. |
