POSITION: CDL Driver
 

There is a position open for a CDL Driver with an hourly wage of $10.00.  This position reports to the Transportation Manager.  Hours vary depending on assigned shift.   

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  This position’s primary responsibility is the transportation of KSI participants and operation of KSI vehicles in a safe and cautious manner, at all times.  Additional duties include, providing assistance to participants entering and exiting vehicles and completion of transportation logs.  Must adhere to all traffic rules and regulations, including requirements from the Department of Transportation.  Responsible for documenting and reporting participant issues, i.e. violations of safety rules, medical issues, seizures, fighting, behaviors, etc.  

QUALIFICATIONS:   Must possess a positive attitude, must have excellent communication skills and be willing to be part of a team.  Must have a valid Delaware CDL license with a P or Q endorsement (no exceptions and no permits, please).  Must have two years experience working/transporting adult passengers.  Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities a plus.  Must be at least 21 years of age and be licensed for more than three years, regardless of age and have no more than two moving violations and no major violations on current driving record.    

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Must be able to stand, sit or walk for up to 4 hours before breaks.  Must be able to physically provide assistance to participants in an emergency situation.   Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening will be done.

POSITION:   Production Supervisor
 

This position has a salary of $10.00 per hour and reports to a Production Manager.  Normal work schedule is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Supervises company personnel in production/contract work. Provides proper documentation of all production activities. Documents training plan data and activities to promote development or improvement in work-related abilities, skills and habits of participants. Implement training modules in planned programming area.  Provides quality activities when assigned to the voc/ed area. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Physical requirements include the ability to stand, sit, and/or walk for up to 2.5 hours before breaks; must be able to do frequent reaching, bending and stooping; and must be able to do occasional pulling and pushing.                                                                                                                                 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Must possess a positive attitude, must have excellent communication skills and be willing to be part of a team.  Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.  Minimum one year experience working with people with disabilities is desired.  Must be able to satisfactorily pass a Criminal Background check, Adult Abuse Registry check, Child Abuse Registry check and Sex Offender Listing check.  Must have or be able to obtain a valid Delaware Driver’s License with no more than two moving violations at the time of hire.

POSITION: Work Crew Supervisor – KCS

There is a position open in the KSI Cartridge Service area for a Work Crew Supervisor.  Hourly rate is $10.50 per hour and reports to the Operations Manager. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Responsibilities include the supervision of assigned personnel in the KCS production area.  This requires learning how to disassemble and assemble over 100 different types of cartridges.  This is a working supervisor position.  Job duties also include:  meeting production demands, maintaining high quality and safety standards, implementing and documents training plans and activities to promote development or improvement in work-related abilities, skills, and habits for adults with developmental disabilities.   

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Physical requirements include the ability to stand, sit, and/or walk for up to 2.5 hours before breaks; must be able to do frequent reaching, bending and stooping; and must be able to do occasional pulling and pushing.                                                                                                                                  

QUALIFICATIONS:  Must possess a positive attitude, must have excellent communication skills and be willing to be part of a team.  Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.  Demonstrated mechanical ability or production experience is a plus.   Must be able to satisfactorily pass a Criminal Background check, Adult Abuse Registry check, Child Abuse Registry check and Sex Offender Listing check.  Must have or be able to obtain a valid Delaware Driver’s License with no more than two moving violations at the time of hire.

POSITION: Training Supervisor

This position has an hourly rate of $10.00 per hour and reports to a Program Manager.  Normal work schedule is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday.               

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Primary responsibilities include the implementation of training plans and specific segments of the ISA (Individual Support Agreement); implements vocational programming activities for assigned groups of participants; provides individual training assistance to participants; completes all relevant paperwork in relation to the rehabilitation process for agency clientele; and potential to supervise participants in a production or community setting. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Physical requirements include the ability to stand, sit, and/or walk for up to 2.5 hours before breaks; must be able to do frequent reaching, bending and stooping; and must be able to do occasional pulling and pushing.

POSITION: Employment Manager

This position has an hourly rate of $16.00 and reports to the Director of Community Based Operations.  Work will vary but would probably be in excess of 40 hours per week and include evenings, as needed.  The successful candidate will be a high quality, outgoing person, with great people skills, a great work ethic and positive attitude with a strong desire to be a part of something important.  This is NOT a desk job, this is a job working with people, referral sources, and business decision makers, all with the goal of helping someone find, get, and keep a job. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

  • Responsible for managing and promoting all aspects of KSI’s Community-Based Assessments Program and the Supported Employment Program. 
  • Responsible for direct supervision of Employment Specialists and scheduling their work assignments to ensure services are delivered in a timely manner
  • Responsible for achieving employment related outcomes.
  • Provides direct services to participants in these programs.

·        The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage both people and programs, and will have experience working with people with disabilities in the field of vocational rehabilitation, vocational evaluation, or placement. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field.  Experience working with people with disabilities, a plus.  Must have a history of demonstrated sales experience and/or equivalent in education and experience.  Must be able to pass a criminal background check, adult and child abuse registry checks and sex offender listing.  Must have a valid Delaware driver’s license with no more than two moving violations at time of hire.

POSITION:  Receptionist – Part time

KSI is looking for a self-motivated, positive individual with experience in a professional office setting.  The primary responsibility of this position is to provide a courteous reception and knowledgeable assistance to agency telephone callers and visitors.  Light clerical duties will be assigned.  Approximately 20 hours a week.  Current schedule is Tuesday and Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. and Friday, 12 Noon to 4:15 p.m.  Hourly rate is $9.00 an hour with no benefits. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:  Greeting visitors, answering telephone calls, directing calls, routing voice mails, as appropriate.  Ability to sign in/out groups of participants.  Basic knowledge of Word and Excel required. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Experience operating a switchboard or multi-line telephone console preferred.  Ability to handle front desk responsibilities in a professional manner.  Basic knowledge of Word or Excel required.  Must possess a positive attitude, have excellent communication skills and be willing to be part of a team.  Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.  Must be able to pass a satisfactory criminal background check, along with adult, child and sex offender registries.
