KSI Presents Donation To Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk Buddy Walk
11/11/2015 - Kent-Sussex Industries, Inc. (KSI) and the Boardwalk Buddy Walk organizers, Sharonlee and Dennis Diehl, have been partners for several years. The Diehl’s organization raises funds which are distributed to local non-profit agencies supporting individuals with disabilities.
KSI was proud to donate $1,001.35 this year, an increase of $175 from last year’s walk. Funds were raised by KSI staff through bake sales, raffles and other creative means. The actual Boardwalk Buddy Walk took place in Rehoboth during a weekend in October. KSI organized its own “Walk” during a weekday so our program participants could participate. Lots of enthusiasm surrounded the walk at KSI as each Program Manager encouraged participation from their individual groups. With decorated props and music, we walked the inside perimeter of the KSI Skill Development Center, joined by Mr. & Mrs. Diehl.
KSI is a not for profit agency providing vocational training, employment, supported employment, and day habilitation programs to individuals with disabilities throughout Kent and Sussex Counties. KSI is committed to making all reasonable accommodations in order to ensure that its programs and services are as accessible as possible to as many people as possible. If you would like to make a donation to KSI, donations can be mailed to KSI, attn: Alicia Hollis, 301 N.
