Ms. Semans became work crew supervisor in KSI’s kitchen in 2014. She quickly acclimated to the fast pace in KSI’s cafeteria. In fiscal year 2016 constant planning and preparation enabled KSI to serve 30,604 breakfasts, 36,609 lunches and 28,513 afternoon snacks. Ms. Semans has been a phenomenal team player, recently carrying much of the load in the café while temporarily short staffed. She kept the pace necessary to feed everyone. KSI’s food service program is responsible for providing balanced meals to everyone, many who could not afford to personally pay for breakfast, lunch or an afternoon snack. As Staff Person of the Quarter, Ms. Semans becomes eligible to be selected as Staff Person of the Year.
