Louise Smith Named KSI Employee of the Second Quarter 2017
10/10/2017 - Louise Smith, of Dover, recently received the Employee of the Second Quarter 2017 Award from Kent-Sussex Industries, Inc. (KSI).
Photo Caption:  Louise Smith, of Dover, was recognized by Jayson Crouch, KSI Vice President, as Employee of the Second Quarter 2017.
Ms. Smith is dedicated, kind, patient and excited to be working at the Royal Farms store on Lebanon Road in Dover. She started wishing she was still at work about 6 months after she retired from 13 years with McDonald’s. She contacted KSI for services and KSI’s Supported Employment team began job development with her. Her interests and skills had changed over time. These are important considerations when looking for employment. With assistance from KSI’s Supported Employment Specialist, Ms. Smith now has a job where she takes pride in keeping the coffee area clean and stocked, she looks forward to visiting with new and repeat customers, and she’s close to home.
As Employee of the Quarter, Ms. Smith’s name has been added to a permanent plaque at KSI and she received a $50 Visa Gift Card from Dover Federal Credit Union.  She also received a gift certificate donated by G & R Campground in Houston entitling her to spend a weekend in one of their cottages, and a one year aquatics membership from the Greater Milford Boys & Girls Club.
