KSI's Aktion Club Busy During Holiday Season
12/11/2014 - The Aktion Club, KSI’s volunteer service organization supported by the Dover Kiwanis Club and KSI staff advisors, has had a busy holiday season. Their focus is to give back to their community as often as possible.
Recently, their fundraising efforts enabled them to donate $100 to the First State Animal Center & SPCA, along with other donated items such as collars, leashes, and food. They spent part of December 8th at Wal-Mart in Milford ringing the bell for Salvation Army of Delaware. They are currently raising funds for their Holiday Babies Project. The goal this year is to donate 12 baby boy packages and 12 baby girl packages to Bayhealth’s Milford Memorial Hospital during Christmas. They also do Holiday Babies on Labor Day and Mother’s Day. Proud to support the community, the Aktion Club plans throughout the year how they can help give back.
The Aktion Club has given back to the community since 2008 when it was chartered. In addition to providing funding to the previously named projects, they have also supported the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware.
