Fun at Friends of KSI Quarter Auction Results in $5,000 Donation

The 11th Annual Friends of KSI Quarter Auction resulted in a $5,000 donation to KSI. Members of this volunteer group have raised funds for KSI since 2013. They introduced an annual car show fundraiser in 2015 and their combined efforts have resulted in more than $42,000 being donated to the agency. Angela Spishock, Kathy Bunting, Linda Eckert, Crystal Southard, and Frannie McQuery lead the quarter auction charge to collect donated items so they could raise money for KSI programs and services, while also increasing awareness about KSI throughout the community. Held at the Farmington Fire House on Friday, October 20, just over 80 guests nearly filled the room. They enjoyed buying refreshments, taking chances on raffle items, and buying 50/50 tickets. Door prizes were generously given throughout the evening.

Linda Eckert, to Spishock’s right, has been involved with the Friends of KSI Quarter Auction since its inception. To Spishock’s left is Arthur Bunting, her brother and the reason she started Friends of KSI in 2013. She wanted to help the agency that has had a huge impact on her brother’s life.
